Rogue Warrior

Based on former U.S. Navy SEAL Dick Marcinko's book series, Rogue Warrior is a Fps shooter with an emphasis on tactical warfare and real-world combat scenarios. Players take control of Marcinko himself in a series of covert missions set behind enemy lines in North Korea. The object is to lead a SEAL team safely across North Korea's shipyards, prison camps, submarine pens, and other locales to return back to South Korea. Designed using Unreal 3 technology, Rogue Warrior offers multiple ways to complete objectives by featuring wide-open environments and dynamically changing events. Ten multiplayer modes are included with a choice of more than 200 day and night maps, while the main campaign can be completed alone or cooperatively with a group of up to four players. The latter option lets friends drop out or join in at any time without requiring the rest of the group to pause the game or to save progress.

PC game / Taking place in the year 2014, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 finds the Ghost team once again fighting rebels from Mexico, only this time it's on the U.S. border between El Paso and Juárez. In order to prevent an imminent attack on American soil, players must lead a four-man team on an 11-mission campaign, with battles taking place in mountainous regions, deserts, rural areas, and small towns. A sophisticated graphics engine incorporates such elements as real-time day and night cycles, a dynamic weather system, and destructible environments.

The artificial intelligence of computer-controlled teammates has been an area of focus for this installment, with two new orders available to squad commanders: recon and assault. Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30

PC game / Although it offers its share of authentically equipped, WWII shooter action, Brothers in Arms is a squad-based game that requires players to manage and deploy their three-soldier teams intelligently in order to meet mission challenges. Instead of a straightforward run-and-gun progression, the game's situations are designed such that players may need to move their men around the battlefield to recon the surroundings, provide cover fire, and pin down the enemy, before they move in for the final kill.

The adventure begins with the D-day airdrop over Normandy, and missions follow situations faced by various members of the real-life 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment. The player's character, Matt Baker, is also based on the stories of an actual World War II paratrooper.

In addition to its action and tactical challenges, Brothers in Arms also incorporates some role-playing styled decision-making. While the game's AI is intended to provide for competent, self-preserving squad-members, is also endows them with human wants and fears. Baker must consider his teammates interests as if they were real people -- his "Brothers in Arms" -- in order to keep their trust and have them follow his orders effectively.
