For the first time in the IL-2 series, players can engage aircraft carriers in combat and utilize them to take off and land. Players take control of more than 40 different aircraft on both sides of the battle lines. The 16 maps in the game include Guadalcanal, Pearl Harbor and Singapore. Online multiplayer allow for dog fighting and cooperative missions.
